Depending on the manufacturer, model, condition, access, and available records, analysis may involve aircraft storage, controllers, removable media, synchronized mobile applications, cloud exports, flight logs, photographs, video, telemetry, configuration data, firmware information, device identifiers, and operator-account artifacts.

TIMELINE AND LOCATION ANALYSIS

Available flight records may help reconstruct routes, launch and landing locations, timestamps, altitude, speed, camera activity, system events, and other operational details. These artifacts must be correlated with the source, time settings, device records, and other evidence before conclusions are reached.

LIMITATIONS AND REPORTING

Drone systems do not all retain the same information, and records may be incomplete, overwritten, encrypted, cloud-dependent, or affected by time-zone and synchronization differences.
